Miss Afghanistan 2005 Model/ Actress
Sutara Arian, was born on July 1 1985, in Kabul Afghanistan. Miss Arian's parents were both in the field of media. Sutara's first and foremost inspiration was her own father who was working in radio television in Kabul, Afghanistan and her mother’s footsteps within the field of media in Melbourne Australia.
Growing up in Melbourne Australia, Sutara realised her passion of acting and modelling from an early age. Since the age of 7 years old Sutara had been performing in theatrical plays. During her childhood she was motivated and a goal seeker and achiever, and she was dedicated to her passion and pursued her career by taking performing classes and drama classes. Knowing her goal Sutara was encouraged and supported by her parents to follow her dreams.
It was at the age of 19 that Sutara Arian gained her first movie role and soon after the completion of the movie Miss Arian was selected by Carousel Productions to represent Afghanistan in the Miss Earth Beauty Pageant in Manila, Philippines in 2005. Sutara was astounded for getting the opportunity to compete in an international beauty pageant and took upon the opportunity immediately. Miss Earth is a well recognised beauty pageant due to its mission to educate and inform people about looking after our Earth through their beauties who take part each year in the pageant. After the completion of a movie and holding the title of Miss Afghanistan in 2005, Miss Arian decided to take a break from acting and modelling and complete her university degree. Between 2004 and 2008 Sutara attended Monash University in Melbourne Australia. In March 2009 she graduated with a bachelor of Communications and Journalism.
Miss Arian has many projects in place. One of the major events on the calendar for 2009 was the promotion of Mr. Ehsan Aman concert through her company OZAfghan Media. Sutara conducted a tour of Australia for the concerts by Mr. Ehsan Aman. The program line up in the concerts, includes a fashion show by Miss Arian, and other well known models including Miss Australia Ann-Maree Bowdler. The fashion show highlighted and showcased some of the talented Australian designers and the launch of the Sutara Arian jeans. in 2010 it was followed by the Australian tour of Wajia and Farid Rastagar and DJ Besho which set a historical name for Afghan concerts in Australia, and lead to many other people taking the step into music and band promotion.
On the other hand Sutara has been busy with the production of her upcoming movie. The script is written by Mr. Fared Yaqobzada and Miss Arian. The movie is based on a love story which many individuals can relate to. The Film is being produced by SA Productions in Melbourne and will release worldwide in 2011.
Although it may seem that this would be enough to keep her busy, but it does not end there. Sutara is also producing a television program in Melbourne on Channel 31 by the name of Sutara Television. It is a once a week program which will be an infotainment type show. She will focus on encouraging and supporting all young people in the field of art, music, poetry, sport and high achievers.
Sutara's TV show is the first ever television program aired in Australia by an Afghan producer. Sutara TV is in both languages of English and Dari. Most non Afghan viewers have been delighted after finding out the cultures and traditions and more information about the Afghan people through her show. One viewer stated that "Sutara TV brings us more knowledge about the Afghan people and that the rich culture and way of life is so much more than what we see on other media. it makes them look as though they are normal people and not just fighting and living in tents."
Music is Miss Arians ultimate passion and quoted saying “ I live eat and breath music” she will focus furthermore on producing her own music with one song on the way for release in the coming months by the name of I'm Not A Playa.
Overall Miss Sutara Arian wishes all her afghan people lots of hope and happiness and looks forwards to a better future for her country and for her people, and would like to thank all those who have supported her through her journey. |
