A: Promoting afghan music to a world audience with the first afghan fusion band after 9/11, studying music and recording from great teachers, teaching afghan music and tabla to my students, and performing tabla for the best afghan singers in their concerts and shows. |

A: People find it funny that on my first day arriving in Kabul the first place I wanted to visit was Kharabaat to meet all the musicians there. |

Q: Funny thing that happened to you in life outside your music careers? |
|
A: My father and uncle use to play music at our family parties... that's where it started. Then listening to Naim Popal & Haidar Salim started getting me to practice more, but after connecting with Ahmad Zahir there was no turning back. |

A: Although it's still music related.. but when I was a kid I remember my mom used to hide my tablas and harmonia from me so that I can focus on my homework and chores around the house.... all I wanted to do was play music. |

Q: If you had to thank four people in your life who would they be? |

A: 13 years old, by 14 I was able to sing for an audience. |

A: The four legends in music that I should thank who helped inspire my music are Ustad Zakir Hussain, Ustad Nasim Bhai, Nainawaz, & Ahmad Zahir |

A: Tabla, Harmonia, Rhythm & Flamenco Guitar, Accordion, Piano & keyboards, Mandolin, Dumbak, and other percussion and lute instruments. |

A: When I was a kid I wanted to be a movie star or singer, but singing and making music is where my real desire exists. |
